Take a walk on the GR8
From the Bois Soleil campsite, enjoy direct access to the famous GR8, which runs along the Vendée coastline. Just a few steps from your accommodation, this trail takes you on a discovery tour of the “chemin des douaniers”, stretching from Bouin in the north to the bay of Aiguillon sur Mer in the south.

The route takes you through a mosaic of landscapes: fisheries, marshes, dunes, forests, a rocky coastline and vast sandy beaches. This tour offers magnificent panoramas and wonderful local encounters, all within easy reach of your starting point at the campsite.
Hiking at Notre-Dame-de-Mont
To cross the Vendée, the GR364 is an ideal option, linking Jard-sur-Mer on the coast to Puy-de-Serre in the Deux-Sèvres. This trail starts near the Observatoire des Marais and invites you to discover historic sites such as the menhir alignment of La Pierre and the dolmens of Savatole. Along the way, you’ll follow several streams, skirt the Lac du Graon, the Rivière de l’Yon and the Lac du Marillet lake and dam. You’ll also have the chance to climb the Pierre Blanche cliff to admire the Mère, a picturesque waterway.
